The special design is perfect for pumping at night, especially with the included night light! The nightlight has three light modes, letting you pump at any hour of the day or night. This, plus the touchpad screen, makes it super easy for you to adjust the level, cycle, and modes all with a touch of a button.
The hospital-grade design
Another thing we really like about the Unimom Opera Hospital-Grade pump is the design inline with the hospital-grade specifications. Some of these include the longer operating hours with stronger suction, along with the closed system. Also, this pump can either work on rechargeable battery power or be plugged into the mains, letting you choose whether you want to pump for longer or have the ability to move around with your pump. A hospital-grade pump is an excellent choice for parents who are planning to exclusively pump as you can get more milk expressed in a shorter amount of time, letting you get enough milk without spending all day in your pumping chair.

This warranty doesn’t cover any of the consumable pieces, either, including the airlines (tubing/hose), power pack and cable, silicon membranes, valve, breast shields, catch bottles, and silicone massager. We would’ve definitely rather the warranty had been closer to two years to give us a better piece of mind.
Is The Unimom Opera Hospital Grade Automatic Breast Pump Comfortable?
The Unimom Opera pump is incredibly popular because many parents find it comfortable, especially with four operating mopeds to help them find the optimal settings! These include single left, single right, alternate, and synchronous operating modes, and we highly recommend testing all of these out to see which feels best for your body. Many parents also really liked that they could use one of the single modes to continue pumping while breastfeeding their babies, making it a great choice for mixed feeding!
Is The Unimom Opera Hospital Grade Automatic Breast Pump Easy To Adjust?
The Unimom Opera Hospital-Grade pump is simple enough to adjust, but it’s worth noting that you’ll have to buy the extra flange sizes separately if you need a bigger size than the provided 24 mm. There are also no flange inserts available from Unimom, meaning you won’t be able to get a smaller size unless you use third-party inserts. We haven’t tried using flange inserts from other brands with this pump, though, so this is something you’d need to consider after testing the pump for yourself.

We found the Unimom Opera Hospital-Grade pump super easy to attach and use, especially with the cone-shaped flanges! Simply line the breast shields up with your body, where the silicone will gently attach to your skin to keep themselves in place until you can turn the pump on, and use the touchpad to program the pump to your desired settings. The touchpad is an excellent feature that really helps with using the pump during both the day and night, especially with the nightlight feature!
The pump works on both rechargeable power and with a power adapter, so you’re in control of how you want to pump. We would’ve preferred the motor to be slightly lighter to make it easier to carry around, though. While milk is being expressed, it’s being collected in two bottles which come with caps, disks, and covers, so you can store the milk straight away without having to dirty another bottle.
Is The Unimom Opera Hospital Grade Automatic Breast Pump Easy To Clean?
The Unimom Opera Hospital-Grade pump isn’t the easiest to clean, especially with so many pieces to take apart! Each piece is quite small, too, making it more difficult to clean than we would’ve liked. The milk had a tendency to get trapped in the most hard-to-reach areas. However, we did like that the milk was collected in bottles, so we didn’t need to dirty another container or bottle to store the milk.

Overall, we were really impressed with the Unimom Opera Hospital-Grade Automatic Breast Pump and everything it could do for new parents. Some of our favourite features were the LCD touchpad screen and built-in nightlight, along with the hospital-grade design that makes it more efficient and stronger than many alternatives on the market. The main issue we had with this pump was the lack of smaller flange sizes, as the smallest available option was 24 mm.
