What Are The Benefits Of The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump?
- Many buyers love that this pump is completely hands-free while they’re using it, making it great for busy parents who want to get on with their day while pumping
- This pump comes with three modes to choose from and nine suction levels, giving you plenty of options to make sure you’re comfortable at all times
What Are The Drawbacks Of The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump?
- Some parents wished this pump came as a double option so they could save money by buying two at once instead of having to buy two singles
Are There Any Accessories Included With The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump?
Unfortunately, the Lactivate ARIA Wearable pump doesn’t come with many accessories at all. Other than the charging cable, you’ll only get three breast shield sizes to choose from as the other accessory. However, while you don’t get many accessories to use with this pump at all, we think the three breast shields make up for it all on their own. Having three size options is a great feature that can save you a lot of pain in the long run, and we really like that Lactivate doesn’t require you to pay for these separately like many other pump brands do.
What Sets The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump Apart From The Crowd?
When testing the Lactivate ARIA Wearable pump out for ourselves, we found plenty of features that we think other parents will also love. Here are some of our personal favourites:
Hands-free pumping
Of course, we had to talk about the fact that the Lactivate ARIA Wearable pump is completely hands-free! The cup has been designed to fit within your nursing bra so you can get on with your day rather than being confined to a nursing chair multiple hours of the day. The pump is completely tube and wire-free for your convenience, so don’t worry about getting caught on anything as you move around your home! We also really liked that the controls were on the top of the pump to make it easier to use without removing the pump from our body, making it one of the easiest wearable pumps we’ve tried.
The sheer number of modes to choose from
Another feature we really liked was how the Lactivate ARIA Wearable pump came with so many modes to try, letting us find what worked best for us. There are three customisable modes to choose from, including stimulation, expression, and mixed mode, and each of these modes has nine suction levels to play around with. We really liked that we were able to pick which mode we wanted to use, but also could use mixed mode when we wanted something convenient and quick. Nine suction levels are also super generous, so we could always find the perfect strength for us on any given day!
How Much Does The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump Cost?
The Lactivate ARIA Wearable pump currently costs $139, which we think is quite impressive for such a powerful and convenient pump. Bear in mind that it’s only a single pump so you’ll either need to buy two or spend double the time pumping each side. However, if you only need a single pump for mixed feeding or improving your milk supply, we personally think this is a great price for the Lactivate ARIA.
What Is The Warranty On The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump?
The Lactivate ARIA pump comes with a one-year warranty on the pump motor, which we think is reasonable considering the price. There is no warranty on the silicone cup and pieces that are in contact with milk, so this is a little disappointing. However, we were still happy with the 12-month warranty on the motor, as this is the most expensive piece to replace.
Is The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump Comfortable?
Yes, the Lactivate ARIA is very comfortable thanks to the three breast shield options included within the box! This pump comes with 19 mm, 22 mm, and 26 mm sizes, which we really liked because these are alternative sizes to the most popular alternatives that come with other pumps. For example, other popular pumps often come with 24 mm and 28 mm breast shields, so Lactivate offers an alternative for parents who these most popular sizes might not be perfect for. Plus, with three customisable modes and nine suction levels to choose from, you are in control of how comfortable your pumping sessions are.
Is The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump Easy To Adjust?
The Lactivate ARIA is super easy to adjust thanks to the fact it comes with three breast shields to choose from right out of the box. These simply slot into the milk collector’s side until there’s no space between the two pieces of silicone, and you’re ready to pump!
Once you’ve found your perfect size, you shouldn’t find it difficult to find the perfect alignment for your pump. However, if you do need to adjust the fit, all you need to do is turn it off with the button on top of the motor and readjust with your nipple aligned with the pump. This is often easier said than done though when the pump is tucked into a nursing bra, so make sure to be careful if you need to readjust once milk has already started to collect in the cup to prevent spilling any!
Is The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump Easy To Attach And Use?
We found the Lactivate ARIA pump super easy to use and attach, thanks to its circular shape and easy-to-use buttons! The round shape is perfect for fitting within a nursing bra, so all you need to do is line the flange up with your breast and turn it on. When you’re happy that it’s in the correct position, simply lift your nursing bra over the pump to hold it in place.
When it comes to using the pump, the motor that sits on top of the collection cup features four buttons to change the modes and suction levels. We really liked these buttons as we found them simple enough without any unnecessary complicated functions. This pump is simple enough to use with one hand, so you can adjust your settings as often as you want, no matter what you’re doing!
Is The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump Easy To Clean?
The Lactivate ARIA pump is easy enough to clean as everything is large enough to clean with a sponge or your finger. There are five pieces to clean and sterilise altogether, but thanks to their large size and the lack of places for milk to hide, we found this pump super quick and straightforward to clean.
Final Thoughts On The Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump
Overall, we think the Lactivate ARIA Wearable Breast Pump is an excellent option for parents who are mixed-feeding or who only need a single pump rather than a double. Some of our favourite features were the sheer number of modes to choose from and the hands-free design. Our only issue is that it’s not the best for parents who need a double pump, as pumping two sides with a single pump can be time-consuming and double the work.
