Are There Any Accessories Included With The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump?
We were happy with the number of accessories that the Baby Owl V2 comes with, especially with the spare parts that other brands don’t necessarily offer for free. We really liked the charging cable and bra adjustment buckle as we didn’t need to buy these pieces separately. In fact, we don’t think we’d have even thought about buying a bra adjuster without it coming in the box – but now we can’t imagine not using one! You can also buy extra accessories from The Night Owl’s website, including flange inserts that come in sizes 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21 mm, which we loved as it gave us the chance to find the perfect fit for the most comfortable pump possible.
What Sets The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump Apart From The Crowd?
Here are some of our favourite features of the Baby Owl V2 that we think many parents will absolutely love:
The budget-friendly design
The Baby Owl V2 is The Night Owl’s most budget-friendly pump, suitable for most parents looking for a pump to use alongside breastfeeding or a manual pump. The pump comes with two modes and nine levels of suction, so there’s still plenty of room for you to find your perfect setting for comfortable pumping. We also really like that the pump comes with plenty of accessories despite the lower price, along with an impressive battery life of 70 minutes. We’ve found some budget-friendly pumps on the market to be seriously lacking, but that’s not what we think of the Baby Owl V2 at all!
The versatile LCD controls
Another feature we really like about the Baby Owl V2 is the LCD display that is super easy to use! We’ve tried too many pumps that have these difficult controls, so we’re glad the Baby Owl V2 has minimal buttons with a display screen that tells us exactly what’s happening. The screen will tell you the current battery level, how many minutes you’ve been pumping for, which mode you’re using, and the suction level. The buttons are also really easy to press and use, especially as there are only four to play with. We found this pump incredibly easy to use!
How Much Does The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump Cost?
The Baby Owl V2 currently costs $119, making it the cheapest pump The Night Owl currently offers. We think this is a great option for parents on a budget or who might not be pumping as frequently as others. You can also get this pump in a double version for $219.95, offering you a nice saving if you want two pumps for peace of mind. Overall, we think this is a great pump for a really competitive price.
What Is The Warranty On The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump?
The Baby Owl V2 comes with a one-year warranty, which we think is pretty impressive considering the price! Most parents will pump for between one and two years, but others will only pump for a few months. One year gives you plenty of time to find any manufacturer defects without being long enough to hike the price up.
Is The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump Comfortable?
Despite the Baby Owl V2 having the fewest number of modes and suction levels of any The Night Owl pump, we were still impressed with how comfortable it was to use! The two modes and nine suction levels are perfect for finding the most comfortable method for you. Plus, we really liked how we could either use the larger included flange size or buy a smaller insert to find the best fit for our bodies, making every pump session much more comfortable.
Is The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump Easy To Adjust?
Yes, we found the Baby Owl V2 pump incredibly easy to adjust thanks to how many options The Night Owl gives you. The flange sizes are on the bigger size at 24 mm and 27mm, so it’s likely that you’ll need to adjust the size to fit your body perfectly. The good news is that there are five flange insert sizes available on the brand’s website that you can choose from with the help of their fitting guide. With these two features, we found adjusting the Baby Owl V2 incredibly quick and simple.
Is The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump Easy To Attach And Use?
The Baby Owl V2 is incredibly easy to use and attach, especially with its small size and intuitive controls. Simply line the flange up with your nipple and tuck the pump into your nursing bra to keep it pressed against your body. Once you’re happy with the fit, turn the pump on and find your perfect settings before getting on with the rest of your day! We really liked the pump’s settings and LCD screen to make using it as easy as possible, and the timer helped us keep on track with our pumping schedule. Once you’re finished pumping, all you need to do is pour the collected milk into a bottle with a spill-free spout and store it until you’re ready to give it to your little one. Clean the pump and it’s all ready to use again next time!
Is The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump Easy To Clean?
We found the Baby Owl V2 super easy to clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush, despite there being quite a few pieces to pull apart and get between! We would’ve preferred it to have been dishwasher-friendly, but the brand advises against this as it can warp and distort the pieces. The brand also says that you don’t have to sterilise the pump as breast milk is sterile, but we put the cleaned pieces in our steriliser and had no adverse effects.
Final Thoughts On The Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump
Overall, we were really impressed with the Baby Owl V2 Wearable Breast Pump! Some of our favourite features were the budget-friendly price that didn’t reflect in the design or functionality, as well as the convenient LCD screen. The only issue we had with this one was the volume level which sat at around 50 decibels. This was a little loud to use during the nighttime and we were constantly worried about it waking up the rest of our household. However, for a budget-friendly wearable pump, we didn’t find this to be a dealbreaker.
