What Are The Benefits Of The Tasman Eco Venice Cot?
- Many buyers really loved the regal design of this crib and how it transformed their nursery into their favourite place in their home
- This crib comes with three uses, including a bassinet, a cot, and a toddler bed, offering you plenty of versatility
What Are The Drawbacks Of The Tasman Eco Venice Cot?
- Some parents didn’t appreciate how heavy this crib was as, at 53.5 kg, it’s quite difficult to move without the help of someone else
Are There Any Accessories Included With The Tasman Eco Venice Cot?
Unfortunately, the Venice cot doesn’t come with any accessories, so you’ll need to buy anything you want to use with the crib separately. We’d recommend buying the cot mattress and a few fitted sheets at the same time as buying the crib so they get delivered at around the same time, so you’re not having to wait around before being able to use it. The recommended mattress size is 131 x 75 cm, which isn’t the most common size meaning you might have a smaller selection on the market to choose from. However, Tasman Eco offers a few on their website, so you can buy it with the crib at the same time if you’d prefer.
What Sets The Tasman Eco Venice Cot Apart From The Crowd?
There are plenty of features that we love about the Venice cot, and we think plenty of parents will also appreciate many of them! Here are some of our personal favourites:
The regal design
One of our favourite features of the Venice cot is the regal design that makes this crib look all the more expensive and impressive. We really liked this as, at the end of the day, a crib isn’t just important in terms of functionality – you need to be able to love the look of it in your home! After all, you’ll be using it for over three years, so the gorgeous design is the cherry on top of this amazingly versatile cot.
Three uses from one crib!
Another feature we really like about the Venice crib is how it can be used in three separate modes, depending on your little one’s age and development. To begin with, you can create a bassinet with the highest base position to keep your newborn close to you throughout the night. Once they get older and learn to pull themselves up, you can lower the base to create a cot that can be used from around six months to three years. However, if they start getting a little antsy and want more independence, you can also convert it into a toddler bed!
How Much Does The Tasman Eco Venice Cot Cost?
The Venice cot currently costs $649.99, making it suitable for most medium-sized budgets. It’s a good option for many parents who are looking for an heirloom piece that can be passed down through the generations, so the value for money is really excellent as long as you take care of it!
What Is The Warranty On The Tasman Eco Venice Cot?
The Venice cot comes with a five-year warranty, which we think is incredibly impressive considering the price! As this crib can be used for around 3.5 years, your investment will be covered for longer than the duration your little one will be using it for! This simply solidifies that this crib is designed to be an heirloom piece to keep in your family for years to come.
Is The Tasman Eco Venice Cot Safe?
Yes, the Venice cot is completely safe and adheres to Australian safety standards (AS/NZS 2172: 2013). All stains and finishes are also completely toxin-free and low VOC, so you don’t have to worry about your little one sleeping near unsafe materials. As parents whose children have a tendency to stick their limbs between the bars during the middle of the night, we also really liked the rounded bars.
Is The Tasman Eco Venice Cot Easy To Adjust?
We found the Tasman Eco Venice cot simple enough to adjust, especially when we asked someone to help place the crib on its side before readjusting the base height. We tried getting the crib on its side by ourselves, to begin with, but it didn’t go very well – so be wary of this when trying to do it on your own! Once the crib’s on its side, you’ll be able to adjust the base height by adjusting just four bolts. Simple!
Is The Tasman Eco Venice Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
We wouldn’t consider the Venice cot to be easily manoeuvrable at all, as it weighs 53.5 kg! This is one of the heaviest cribs we’ve seen on the market, so it’s definitely not suitable for parents who are hoping to move their cot around the house often. This crib is designed to be kept in one place for years, so once you make it, lift it into its final position and make sure you’re happy with it! We would definitely recommend asking someone for help with assembling and moving the Elba cot to take some of the strain away from you.
Is The Tasman Eco Venice Cot Easy To Assemble?
With only five pieces to attach together, we could not be happier with how easy the Venice cot was to assemble! It came with all of the hardware and tools you’ll need too, making this task as simple and as enjoyable as possible. We also really liked that the cot base, while still completely slatted, is a fixed one-piece that doesn’t require any tedious screwing the slats into the bars. We had this crib up and running within half an hour thanks to the excellent instructions in the user manual.
Is The Tasman Eco Venice Cot Easy To Clean?
We really liked how easy the Venice cot was to clean, especially thanks to the closed headboard design and rounded bars. These let us clean them within a second, making them simple and even enjoyable to clean! Our toddlers also really liked getting involved when only using a damp cloth, so this is a perfect way to teach them responsibility!
Final Thoughts On The Tasman Eco Venice Cot
Overall, we really enjoyed testing the Tasman Eco Venice Cot out for ourselves, especially with features like the 3-in-1 functionality and regal design. The only issue we had with this crib was its weight, but we don’t think this should be too much of an issue as long as you have someone else to help with assembling and lifting it!
