Are There Any Accessories Included With The Tasman Eco Siena Cot?
Unfortunately, the Tasman Eco Siena cot doesn’t come with any accessories so you’ll need to buy everything separately, although you should only really need a mattress and a couple of fitted sheets to begin with! Choose a 131 x 75 x 11 cm mattress to keep this cot safe for your little one, with the manufacturer recommending the Tasman Eco Innerspring Mattress. Turning this cot into a toddler bed is as simple as removing one of the sides, so you don’t have to worry about buying a conversation kit, either!
What Sets The Tasman Eco Siena Cot Apart From The Crowd?
When testing out the Tasman Eco Siena cot for ourselves, we found plenty of standout features that we think most parents will love, including:
Safety-slide drop mechanism
One of our favourite features is the Safety-Slide drop mechanism, which means you can experience all of the benefits that come from drop-side cribs without having to worry about their safety. Drop-sides stop you from having to lean into the cot so much to tend to your baby, which in turn can save you from backache! We really liked that Tasman Eco prioritised the safety of this feature over the actual design, and we felt completely happy with using it throughout the day and night to check on our little ones.
Three modes of use
Another feature we really enjoyed about the Tasman Eco Siena cot is how easily it can be transitioned between its three modes of use! Not only is it super easy to adjust between the bassinet height and cot height, but converting it into a toddler bed is as simple as removing one of the long sides. This is excellent news for many parents who want to use their cot for as long as possible without too much hassle or tricky conversions.
How Much Does The Tasman Eco Siena Cot Cost?
The Tasman Eco Siena cot currently costs $629, making it a suitable price for most parents’ budgets and a standard among the market. The value for money on this one isn’t the best we’ve seen as it can only be used for around 3.5 years, but you’re paying for quality over quantity and we personally think the price is more than justified in this sense!
What Is The Warranty On The Tasman Eco Siena Cot?
The Tasman Eco Siena cot comes with a five-year warranty which we think is incredibly generous, especially as the cot is only designed for children up to around the age of 3.5! This means that even if you’re buying the cot early and not putting it up for a while, you can still rest assured that your purchase is protected from any manufacturing defects you might encounter in the future.
Is The Tasman Eco Siena Cot Safe?
The Tasman Eco Siena cot is very safe, with everything created in accordance with Australian and New Zealand standards (AS/NZS:2172 2010). All of its stains and finishes are also completely non-toxic, so you don’t have to worry about your little one chewing on the bars or being exposed to high levels of VOCs. We also really like the Safety-Slide drop mechanism which made us much more comfortable with using this without any concerns about our baby’s safety.
Is The Tasman Eco Siena Cot Easy To Adjust?
Yes, the Tasman Eco Siena cot is super easy to adjust! With just four screws to remove before readjusting the base from its bassinet height to the cot setting, we had this done within just ten minutes. However, this cot is very heavy so we found it necessary to enlist someone to help us with holding the mattress base while we tightened the screws into its new position to prevent us from dropping it or injuring ourselves.
Is The Tasman Eco Siena Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
No, we were actually surprised at how difficult the Tasman Eco Siena cot was to manoeuvre! Weighing an impossible 46 kg, this cot definitely isn’t designed for constant moving around and it can be quite straining on the back to try! When moving it into its final position in your nursery, make sure you ask someone to help lift it to prevent damaging the legs and overall structure off the cot and definitely don’t drag it along the floor!
Is The Tasman Eco Siena Cot Easy To Assemble?
We were a little concerned that a drop-side cot like the Tasman Eco Siena cot would be difficult to assemble because of this feature, but we were pleasantly surprised with how easy we found getting this crib up was! The instructions in the user manual are very clear and helpful, so as long as you follow these you should be good to go. Just bear in mind that each piece is quite heavy so you might want to enlist someone to help you with this process.
Is The Tasman Eco Siena Cot Easy To Clean?
We found the Tasman Eco Siena cot simple enough to clean, although we found that the white colour seemed to attract more scuffs and dust than other cots we’ve tried, so we seemed to be cleaning it constantly! All you need is a damp soft cloth though, so we didn’t find the extra cleaning too taxing.
Final Thoughts On The Tasman Eco Siena Cot
Overall, we really enjoyed testing out the Tasman Eco Siena cot! Some of our favourite features include the three modes of use and the Safety-Slide drop mechanism which gives us peace of mind about the safety of the crib. We found that we had to clean the cot more frequently than darker-coloured cots as the white seemed to pick up more dust and scuff more easily.
