What Are The Drawbacks Of The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot?

Are There Any Accessories Included With The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot?
Unfortunately, there aren’t too many accessories that come with the Jasmine cot apart from the cot itself and the built-in teething rail, so you’ll need to buy the rest of the accessories yourself. This includes a mattress and fitted sheet, and you’ll need these before you can even think about using the cot for the first time, so make sure you order them quickly! This crib fits a 130 x 69 cm mattress, so you should be able to find one online without any issues, as this is one of the most common crib mattress sizes out there.
What Sets The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot Apart From The Crowd?
There are plenty of excellent features of the Jasmine cot that we think would be considered stand-out, so here are some of our favourites:
3-in-1 functionality
One of our favourite features of the Jasmine cot is that it can be used in three different ways, letting you and your baby use it for longer without having to spend more money on another, larger sleep space. This single crib can be converted from a bassinet to a cot and then to a toddler bed once your little one starts hitting their milestones and becoming more independent. Tasman Eco suggests that you can use this cot until your baby reaches 3.5 years of age, but we think you might be able to get even longer from it thanks to the toddler bed conversion!
Built-in teething rail
Another feature we really liked about the Jasmine cot was the included teething rail, which is built right into the design. This rail lets your child chomp away to their heart’s desire when their gums are sore throughout the night. We loved this feature because it meant we didn’t have to worry about our babies damaging their cots or their teeth, and we didn’t have to buy a large, bulky teething rail to put over the railing. Not all children bite their cots, but we liked the peace of mind this feature gave us, just in case.
How Much Does The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot Cost?
The Jasmine cot currently costs $299.99, making it one of the more budget-friendly options on the market! Some classic cots can be super expensive, so we were really happy to have found this one at a reasonable price. Despite the lower cost, we don’t think there’s a noticeable difference in quality or functionality of other more expensive alternatives, so it’s a winner in our eyes.
What Is The Warranty On The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot?
Tasman Eco offers a two-year warranty with all of their cribs, including the Jasmine cot. We think this is quite a generous warranty, especially considering the overall price and how many years of use you can get from this sleep space! Your purchase should be protected for over half of the time you’ll be using this crib if you stick to the manufacturer’s guidelines, giving you plenty of time to notice any issues.
Is The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot Safe?
Yes, the Jasmine cot is completely safe and compliant with Australia’s safety standards (AS/NZS 2172: 2013), giving you peace of mind that your little one is safe and sound throughout all of their slumbers. The stain and finishes used are all non-toxic too, so you don’t have to worry about your little one chewing on their crib, even if they start on somewhere other than the included teething rail.
Is The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot Easy To Adjust?
We found the Jasmine cot super easy to adjust thanks to there only being four bolts to adjust and retighten when moving the mattress base from one position to the other. The slats are already attached to the cot rails so you don’t need to worry about removing them before adjusting the base, making the process as quick and easy as possible. We had the cot adjusted within just ten minutes!
Is The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
Even though the Jasmine cot isn’t designed to be moved all that often, it’s still one of the easiest fixed cot we’ve tried to move around. We think we can largely put this down to the weight of just 17.8 kg, which is impressively light for a full-sized crib! The legs are pretty thin, so we recommend asking someone for help lifting the crib into its final position instead of dragging it. However, we think you’ll be surprised by how light it is when moving it.
Is The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot Easy To Assemble?
The Jasmine cot is simple to assemble, especially thanks to the clear instructions! You can find these in the user manual, laid out with both pictures and written steps to help you get the crib up in as little time as possible. We really liked that the slats are half-attached together so we didn’t need to attach them one by one, although screwing them into the cot rails took quite a bit of time.
Is The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot Easy To Clean?
We found the Jasmine cot quite tiresome to clean, as there are so many bars to clean between! The more bars a crib has, the more corners there are to get into, and the Jasmine crib’s corners were all tight and frustratingly difficult to clean. So we’d recommend putting aside plenty of time for this to make sure you’re not rushing or getting annoyed at how long the cleaning process takes.
Final Thoughts On The Tasman Eco Jasmine Cot
Overall, we were very pleased with Tasman Eco Jasmine cot and liked a lot of the features it offered. Some of our favourites were the three modes of use, including a bassinet, cot, and toddler bed, as well as the built-in teething rail. Our only issue with this crib was how many bars there were and how tough they were to clean between, but we didn’t think this was a deal breaker compared to the rest of the benefits the Jasmine cot came with.
