- The castor wheels are premium quality and excellent for moving sleeping children around the house without waking them up!
What Are The Drawbacks Of The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot?
- Some parents didn’t like how easily the wheels picked up dust and debris, as this made them harder to clean
Are There Any Accessories Included With The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot?
Unfortunately, the Eden Compact cot doesn’t come with many accessories at all, so you’ll need to buy any that you want to use with it separately. This includes the mattress and fitted sheet, so make sure you choose one 108 x 53 cm in size. As this is a compact cot, make sure you’re not buying a full-sized cot mattress as this won’t fit and might make the crib unsafe for use! The good news is that the mattress and sheet are all that’s needed to make this cot safe, so you can use it straight away.
What Sets The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot Apart From The Crowd?
There are plenty of features of the Eden Compact cot that we really liked, and we think other parents will appreciate too! Here are a couple of our favourites:
Its compact size
Of course, we can’t talk about our favourite features of the Eden Compact cot without mentioning its compact design! This has been specially made for small spaces and apartments where there may not be enough room for a full-sized crib. This cot can fit through a standard-sized door, letting you bring your little one with you while you get on with your day. Newborns sleep for the majority of the day, so a crib that can come with you around the house might be invaluable to new parents!
High-quality castor wheels
Another thing we really like about the Eden Compact cot is the high-quality castor wheels that let you wheel your little one around your home with ease. You can also rock your baby to sleep thanks to the wheels, all without the stress of transferring them from your arms into the crib! Plus, we really like that we don’t have to strain our backs while rocking the crib as the wheels do all the heavy lifting for us.
How Much Does The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot Cost?
The Eden cot currently costs $249, making it one of the more affordable cots on the market. Compact cribs tend to be more inexpensive as they often can’t be used for as long, and the same can be said for the Eden cot which can only be used for two years. However, despite this shorter lifespan, we still think the price is well worth this cot’s quality and functionality.
What Is The Warranty On The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot?
The Eden Compact cot comes with a two-year warranty, which considering the price of this crib and its functionality, we think is quite a generous length of time! As this cot can only be used for around two years anyway, your purchase should be protected for almost the entire time you’ll be using it.
Is The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot Safe?
Yes, the Eden Compact cot is very safe and complies with the Australian safety standards (AS/NZS:2172 2013). The stains and finishes are also tested to make sure they’re non-toxic, so there’s no need to worry about your little one sleeping near high VOCs or chewing on toxic chemicals. We really liked that the castor wheels came with locks so we could keep our little ones safe in one place while we weren’t moving from room to room or rocking them to sleep.
Is The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot Easy To Adjust?
To adjust the Eden Compact cot’s mattress base, all you have to do is adjust four bolts on the cot rails. These are positioned underneath the slatted base, so you can either remove these first or turn the cot on its side to access them. We’d only recommend doing the latter if you have another set of hands to help you, otherwise you might be at risk of breaking the crib. Removing the slats will take longer, but it’s best if you’re the only person available to complete this task.
Is The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
The Eden Compact cot is one of the easiest cribs on the market to manoeuvre thanks to its premium quality castor wheels! These let you push the crib around the room with ease, and you can even rock your little one to sleep without straining your back! Plus, thanks to the compact size, this crib can easily fit through the majority of doors so you can keep your baby close while they sleep. This is an excellent crib if you’re looking for one that you can move around the house with you as you get on with your day.
Is The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot Easy To Assemble?
The Eden Compact cot is super simple to assemble as there are only seven pieces to fit together and a handful of hardware! The only issue we had with assembling the crib was attaching the wheels, but that was only because they were smaller than we were used to. Luckily, the instructions in the user manual are very easy to follow so we didn’t waste too much time with the wheels.
Is The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot Easy To Clean?
The Eden Compact cot is super easy to clean, especially thanks to the smaller size and solid headboards! The bars are also thick enough that wiping them down is super quick and simple, so don’t worry about cleaning taking too long. The only issue we had with the cleaning routine was that the castor wheels tended to pick up a lot of dust and hair, so we had to pick this all out to prevent them from getting clogged.
Final Thoughts On The Tasman Eco Eden Compact Cot
We really enjoyed testing the Tasman Eco Eden Compact cot out for ourselves, with some of our favourite features being the compact size and the high-quality castor wheels that make it as easy as possible to wheel the crib around the house and keep our babies close. The only complaint we had was the wheels picking up lots of dust easily, but this was hardly a deal breaker in our eyes!
