What Are The Benefits Of The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot?
- Many parents loved how easy this cot was to assemble, especially with one person and only five pages of instructions to go through
- The bigger slats are great for anxious parents who are worried about their children getting their arms or legs through the bars
What Are The Drawbacks Of The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot?
- The warranty could be longer, as some parents think one year isn’t long enough to check and detect manufacturer defects
Are There Any Accessories Included With The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot?
Unfortunately, you don’t get many accessories with the Love N Care Bordeaux cot, as you’ll need to buy the mattress and sheets separately. Make sure you get the correct mattress size for this cot, which is 131 x 76 x 130 cm. However, one thing you do get with the Bordeaux cot is the teething rails. We love this feature because we often find our children biting on the edges of their cots anyway, so the Bordeaux cot simply lets them do this in a safe manner. These rails saved us from having to buy third-party rails separately, which was a plus!
What Sets The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot Apart From The Crowd?
There’s plenty to love about the Love N Care Bordeaux cot, so here are a few of our favourite features:
The bigger slat design
One feature we noticed about the Love N Care Bordeaux straight out of the box is the bigger slats, closing the spaces between the gaps between them to prevent children from getting their arms and legs stuck between them. The slats are still big enough for your little one to look between them, but not too big that you’ll worry about their limbs. We found this feature to be excellent for us, especially as nervous first-time parents! The slats also all come with rounded sides to prevent any harm from coming to your baby as they roll around in their sleep.
Quick assembly
Another thing we loved about the Love N Care Bordeaux cot was how quick and easy it was to assemble. We found the instructions really easy to follow thanks to the large diagrams, and there are only five pages of instructions to walk you through making the cot and transforming it into its toddler bed! Out of all the cots we’ve put together, this is one of the easiest we’ve had the pleasure of testing. Plus, plenty of parents agree with us – so you don’t just have to take our word for it!
How Much Does The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot Cost?
The Love N Care Bordeaux cot costs $649, making it one of the more expensive cots on the market. However, considering the fact this cot can be used well into childhood from birth, we don’t think the price is too outrageous. We, along with many parents, believe the premium features outweigh the higher cost.
What Is The Warranty On The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot?
All Love N Care products, including the Bordeaux cot, come with a one-year warranty. We would’ve preferred for this to be longer, especially considering the higher price parents are expected to pay.
Is The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot Safe?
Yes, the Love N Care Bordeaux cot is very safe! It’s been tested to complete all of the necessary safety checks so it’s completely safe against Australian standards, so you can rest assured that the cot is usable from birth to five years. We also really liked the teething rails and found these much safer than letting our children chew on wooden beams of other cots, as the Bordeaux were much less likely to splinter and wear down than wooden cots.
Is The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot Easy To Adjust?
Yes, the Love N Care Bordeaux could not be easier to adjust! You can fix the mattress at two base heights; one for newborns and one for older babies to prevent them from climbing out of their cot. We did this within just a few minutes, so we think it’s perfect for busy parents.
The Bordeaux cot can also be turned into a toddler bed within a few minutes, and this is just as easy as adjusting the mattress base. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the Love N Care Bordeaux cot’s adjustability.
Is The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
The Love N Care Bordeaux cot isn’t the best for manoeuvring as this isn’t what it’s known for. With a weight of 63 kg and no castors, we found it pretty difficult to move the cot on our own. We highly recommend you get a mini cot with castors for other rooms in your house if you want to wheel your little one around during the day while leaving the Bordeaux cot in your nursery.
Is The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot Easy To Assemble?
The ease of assembly for the Love N Care Bordeaux cot is one of our favourite things about it – especially considering there are only five pages of instructions to follow! The user manual was incredibly helpful and easy to read, thanks to the large illustrations and simple steps, so we had the cot up within 30 minutes without any help. We think you might even be able to get it up quicker if you had a second pair of hands, so make sure you ask someone for help if you have the chance.
Is The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot Easy To Clean?
We found the Love N Care Bordeaux cot super easy to clean, especially with its limited tight corners and hard-to-reach areas. Make sure you use warm, soapy water with no abrasive chemicals to keep the cot looking as fresh and new as possible and leave it to dry completely before replacing the mattress again. Cleaning should take no longer than five minutes or so!
Final Thoughts On The Love N Care Bordeaux Cot
We loved testing out the Love N Care Bordeaux for ourselves and found it to be an excellent option for parents who want a convertible cot to use for years. A few of the features we loved included the larger slats and the quick assembly. We would’ve preferred the warranty to be longer, especially considering the overall price of this pram, but this might not be a dealbreaker for you. Plus, one year is better than no warranty at all!
