Unfortunately, the Jengo Zuri cot doesn’t come with many accessories at all. You’ll need to buy the mattress and cot sheets separately, so make sure you choose the correct mattress size so you can use this cot straight away! The recommended size for the Zuri is 130 x 69 cm, with a thickness of between 10 and 12 cm. These shouldn’t be too expensive, and we actually appreciated being able to pick our favourite mattress for our little ones instead of having to use one included in the price. We were able to pick the comfiest, as our little ones deserve the best!

Two adjustable base heights
One of our favourite features is the adjustable mattress base, as this is perfect for both newborns and older toddlers. We used the higher base position for newborns to protect our backs and make it easier to tend to our newborns, who needed us more during the night to comfort them quicker. Then, once they were old enough to sit up and pull themselves up, we lowered the cot mattress to keep them safer and prevent them from falling out of the cot. We found the adjustability between these two base heights simple enough, getting the cot altered within a matter of minutes!
Budget-friendly price
The Jengo Zuri Cot is one of the most budget-friendly cots we’ve seen on the market, making it suitable for most parents of all budgets! We really like this feature because these days we see far too many cot brands raising their costs because of features parents might not even use. The Zuri is a classic cot without the bells and whistles other modern cots have, but we didn’t feel like anything was missing when we tested it at all!

We were really impressed with the cost, especially considering the quality and how aesthetic the Zuri was in person. The Jengo Zuri cots come with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase, which we would’ve preferred to be longer to protect our purchase for longer. However, considering the cot can only be used for around two years and the lower cost, we understand why the warranty is on the shorter side.
Is The Jengo Zuri Cot Safe?
Yes, the Jengo Zuri cot is completely safe and meets all of the current standards for cots in Australia and New Zealand. The Zuri meets the AS/NZS 2172:2003 certification, making it suitable for household use. We would’ve preferred the corners to be more rounded to avoid possible accidents with our clumsy children, but the unrounded corners don’t make this cot unsafe to use. As long as you don’t use it beyond the maximum weight limit of 18 kg, the Zuri cot is safe to use for your little one.
Is The Jengo Zuri Cot Easy To Adjust?
Yes, we found the Zuri cot very easy to adjust between its two mattress base heights. There are four screws in the corners of the cot to undo and move between the two heights, and you just have to be careful you’re repositioning them pointing up rather than down. This makes sure that the mattress base sits in the correct position instead of too far down, along with keeping it at the optimal height for you and your baby. Once the four screws have been moved and secured, you’re ready to use the Zuri cot again.
Is The Jengo Zuri Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
The Jengo Zuri cot isn’t designed to move frequently, so it’s not the best if you’re hoping to move it between rooms. However, thanks to the lower weight of just 16.1 kg, it’s one of the lightest cots to move around within the nursery. We were able to reposition it in our nursery without any help, so it’s great if you often find yourself wanting to shake your internal decor up every now and then without having to wait for someone to come and help move your cot.
Is The Jengo Zuri Cot Easy To Assemble?
We had no issues assembling the Jengo Zuri cot thanks to the clear instructions and the pre-drilled holes that were easy to find. However, some customers have also found the holes to be drilled in the wrong places, so be cautious of where you think these should be. Customer service should send you a replacement part if this happens, but be wary that this might take a while. Some parents have drilled the correct holes themselves, so this is another route you can take if you don’t want to wait for a replacement part.
Is The Jengo Zuri Cot Easy To Clean?
The Jengo Zuri cot is simple enough to clean with warm soapy water, although we found that some of the gaps were a little tricky to clean between. There are also quite a few joins that took longer to clean, so make sure you have plenty of time to spend on getting the cot nice and fresh. Also, don’t use too much water as it can cause the wood to deteriorate quicker than planned, which might mean you need to replace it sooner than expected.

Overall, we were really impressed with the Jengo Zuri cot considering its price point and excellent functionality. Some of our favourite features include the budget-friendly design and the two base heights to change between. We would’ve preferred it to have been usable for longer than two years, but for the price point, we understand why it’s not suitable for longer. Also, some parents have had concerns about the pre-drilled holes and how they weren’t in the correct position, but this hasn’t happened to everyone. We had no issues with this when testing the cot out!
