What Are The Benefits Of The Grotime Crescent Cot?
- Many parents love this cot because of its versatility and how it can be used in four separate modes
- The tall, solid bed ends are excellent for children who like trying to climb out of their beds, as well as making them easier to clean
What Are The Drawbacks Of The Grotime Crescent Cot?
- Some parents wish the cot was easier to move with a lighter design, especially as it’s currently sitting at 32 kg
Are There Any Accessories Included With The Grotime Crescent Cot?
The Crescent Cot doesn’t come with any accessories unfortunately, although it’s also worth noting that it comes with everything you need to turn it into a toddler bed, so you don’t have to worry about buying an extra conversion kit until you want to turn it into a single bed. To make sure you buy the best mattress, make sure you pick one with the dimensions 130 x 69 x 10 cm. On Grotime’s website, these can be found under the codes M690S100 and M690PS100.
What Sets The Grotime Crescent Cot Apart From The Crowd?
When testing the Grotime Crescent Cot out for ourselves, we found plenty of amazing features that we think parents will love! Here are a few of our personal favourites:
Four modes to choose from
One of our favourite features of the Grotime Crescent Cot is that it can be converted between four possible modes! When in the cot configuration with the slatted sides, you can change the mattress base between the newborn height and toddler height. Once your little one is ready to make the transition, the Cresent can be turned into a toddler bed without needing any extra pieces for an extra cost! Finally, when they’ve outgrown their toddler bed and are ready for a single bed, don’t worry about buying a new model! Simply buy the Growtime Single Bed Kit and the Crescent Bed Ends to turn this cot into a single bed, making it one of the most versatile cots on the market!
Solid cot ends
Another feature we really like is the solid cot ends that make cleaning and a breeze. There are no holes in either side so you don’t have to worry about your little one getting their hands or feet trapped within them, and the taller design makes them excellent for children who like to try and climb out of their cots. Your child is going nowhere thanks to the Crescent’s tall ends!
How Much Does The Grotime Crescent Cot Cost?
The Grotime Crescent Cot costs $599, making it suitable for the majority of parents on a medium budget. We don’t think this is too expensive considering the cot can be used in four different modes and its overall functionality. We also think it’s worth noting that you can save an impressive amount of money by bundling the Crescent Cot with the Cresent Chest and the Crescent Tallboy for just $999! That’s an incredible saving on all of these items and is perfect if you’re looking for an entire matching nursery set.
What Is The Warranty On The Grotime Crescent Cot?
The Grotime Crescent Cot comes with a three-year warranty which we think is reasonably generous considering how much use you can get out of this cot. Considering you’ll most likely be using this cot to childhood and beyond, giving you three years to notice any manufacturer defects is a great feature which means you can check for these in multiple different modes.
Is The Grotime Crescent Cot Safe?
Yes, the Grotime Crescent Cot is very safe thanks to a number of thoughtful features and design choices that the brand has chosen to use. When we were testing the cot out, we were pleasantly surprised with how sturdy it felt without being too heavy. The bars are also at a safe distance from each other to prevent children from getting their hands and legs trapped between them, and we liked the rounded corners on the legs to prevent little children from bumping into them when exploring their nursery floor.
Is The Grotime Crescent Cot Easy To Adjust?
The Grotime Crescent Cot comes with plenty of adjustments to make, but the user manual’s instructions make all of these as easy as possible for you. We found adjusting the mattress base to be the easiest of all, although converting it to a toddler bed and single bed was a little tricker due to having to change out the bed ends and other components. However, we were still able to do this reasonably quickly with the help of another person and the instruction manual.
Is The Grotime Crescent Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
No, we wouldn’t consider the Grotime Crescent Cot to be easily manoeuvrable – but that’s because it’s not supposed to be moved! This crib weighs around 32 kg, making it better suited for placing it in your nursery and leaving it be. We found even moving it from one end of the nursery to another was a little difficult without the help of another person.
Is The Grotime Crescent Cot Easy To Assemble?
We found the Grotime Crescent Cot easy enough to put together, especially considering the bars were all already attached to the frame so we didn’t need to painstakingly attach them one by one! The end pieces are all solid construction as well, so we didn’t need to put these together either. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with how quickly we got this cot up and ready to use!
Is The Grotime Crescent Cot Easy To Clean?
We found the Grotime Crescent Cot really easy to clean thanks to the large pieces and thicker bars. One thing we often find with newer cots is that they have thin bars and therefore more of them, making parents need to clean more pieces! The Crescent Cot doesn’t have that concern, with solid end pieces and wide, flat bars for quick and easy cleanup.
Final Thoughts On The Grotime Crescent Cot
Overall, we really enjoyed testing out the Grotime Crescent Cot for ourselves and found plenty of features that we think other parents will really like. Some of our favourites include the four usage modes to choose from, making it one of the most versatile cots on the market, along with the solid cot ends. We would’ve preferred it to have been made slightly lighter so we could’ve moved it more freely, but this is a small complaint considering the functionality the Grotime Crescent Cot offers us.
