What Are The Benefits Of The Boori Koto Cot V22?
- Many parents really liked the versatility of this cot and how it could be used for around five years
- The build quality of this cot is impressive so you don’t have to worry about the materials breaking or failing prematurely
What Are The Drawbacks Of The Boori Koto Cot V22?
- Some parents were disappointed that the Toddler Guard Rail wasn’t included in the price of this cot
Are There Any Accessories Included With The Boori Koto Cot V22?
Unfortunately, the Boori Koto cot doesn’t come with any accessories, so you’ll need to buy these separately. The correct size of mattress is 132 x 70 cm which isn’t the most common size on the market, so you might find that you’re stuck buying a mattress from Boori instead of exploring other brands and options. We also would’ve preferred the Toddler Guard Rail to have been included within the purchase considering the price of this cot, as this is a hidden purchase that increases the overall price further.
What Sets The Boori Koto Cot V22 Apart From The Crowd?
When testing out the Boori Koto cot for ourselves we found plenty of features we think other parents will really appreciate, including:
Suitable from birth to five years
One of our favourite features of the Boori Koto cot is that it can be used from birth to five years thanks to its three modes of use. There are two mattress heights to choose from including the bassinet and cot height depending on your little one’s development. Once they’ve outgrown their cot fully and are ready for some more freedom, you can remove one side to create a toddler bed. Use the Toddler Guard Rail for some better stability, although bear in mind that this is sold separately so won’t come straight out of the box. We love that this bed will take your little one right to the age where they’ll be ready for an adult-sized single bed!
Impressive build quality
As with all Boori cots and beds we test out, we were blown away by the build quality of the Boori Koto cot. The Australian Araucaria is impressively strong and sturdy, and we were really impressed with how this cot felt after building it. With flat-pack cots, we often find that they can be slightly more rickety than pre-built alternatives, but we don’t get this at all from Boori’s cribs. We were also happy that the Boori Koto cot wasn’t squeaky or loud while our babies were moving around in their sleep.
How Much Does The Boori Koto Cot V22 Cost?
The Boori Koto cot currently costs $599, making it suitable for most medium-sized budgets. Considering the build quality and design, we don’t think this price is too high for what you get. Also, considering your baby can use it for five full years without having to buy a new bed, the value for money is rather impressive. Just bear in mind that you’ll need to spend more on the Toddler Guard Rail if you’re planning on using this cot as a toddler bed in the future.
What Is The Warranty On The Boori Koto Cot V22?
Boori offers a five-year warranty on all of their cots, which we think is a really generous amount of time and matches the cost of this cot. Your purchase will be protected for the entire time your child will be using it, so you don’t have to worry about having to find manufacturer defects as soon as you receive the cot. You’ve got plenty of time to log an issue with Boori!
Is The Boori Koto Cot V22 Safe?
Yes, the Boori Koto cot is very safe and conforms to all of the necessary safety standards Australia requires. This means that you can use the crib without fear of the produce being recalled or faulty, without worrying about losing money. When we tested this crib out we were really pleased with how strong and sturdy it felt, and we had no safety concerns about it at all while we were testing it with our little ones.
Is The Boori Koto Cot V22 Easy To Adjust?
The Boori Koto cot can be adjusted within just a few minutes! Once your baby has learnt how to pull themselves up or sit independently, you’ll need to move the mattress base down to the lower position to keep them safe. Luckily, all you need to do is remove four screws to change the position and retighten them into its second level! We’d definitely recommend asking someone for help during this, as the mattress base was quite heavy for one person to hold with only one hand.
Is The Boori Koto Cot V22 Easy To Manoeuvre?
No, the Boori Koto cot isn’t the best for manoeuvring, but that’s because it’s not meant to be moved very often! The cot is quite heavy at 26.5 kg, so dragging it along the floor might damage the legs and affect the integrity of this cot. So, we highly recommend asking someone to help you pick up the cot and move it into its final position to protect your purchase.
Is The Boori Koto Cot V22 Easy To Assemble?
We were pleasantly surprised with how easily the Boori Koto cot was to assemble, with us getting it up and running within less than an hour! This was using two people and the instructions in the user manual, so we’d recommend reading these once beforehand to make sure you’re happy with each step.
Is The Boori Koto Cot V22 Easy To Clean?
The Boori Koto cot is simple enough to clean, although there are quite a few bars to get in between! Use a damp cloth to wipe down the cot and keep it fresh, and a mild detergent if any tougher stains need a bit more cleaning power.
Final Thoughts On The Boori Koto Cot V22
Overall, we really enjoyed testing the Boori Koto cot for ourselves with some of our favourite features being the impressive build quality and how it can be used from birth to around five years old. The only downside we found was that the Toddler Guard Rail wasn’t included in the price, so you’ll have to buy this separately if you want to use it when converting the crib into a toddler bed.
