Are There Any Accessories Included With The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot?
Unfortunately, the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot doesn’t come with any accessories so you’ll need to buy them separately before using the crib. Luckily, there’s only one accessory you really need before using the cot as a safe sleep space, so make sure you buy the correct size (132 x 70 cm) to ensure there are no gaps around the side of the mattress before placing your little one in it. As they get a little older, there are two optional accessories you can buy for the Boori Elton cot, including:
What Sets The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot Apart From The Crowd?
When testing out the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot for ourselves, we found plenty of standout features that we think you’ll love as much as us. Here are a few of our favourites:
Incredible versatility
We’ve mentioned it before, but we think the number of configurations of the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot needs to be mentioned twice! Not only are there two mattress base heights for younger babies, but you can also convert it to a toddler bed and toddler sofa without having to buy any extra pieces! You have the option to buy a toddler guard rail, but this isn’t necessary if you don’t think your child will be inclined to roll out of bed very often.
But Boori says why stop there? With the double bed conversion kit, you can turn this bed into a double bed for your child to stretch out to the max. Why buy a whole new bed when you can convert their cot into one and let them use it well into adulthood? When converting it into a double bed, you can also use the rest of the pieces to make the sofa so nothing’s wasted.
Nursery-friendly paint
Another feature we love is that the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot has been finished with baby-friendly paint, making sure you can use this cot without fear that it’s not completely safe for use near children. Normal paint often contains high VOC and chemicals whereas baby-friendly paints avoid these as much as possible, so you can rest assured that the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot is as chemical-free as possible.
How Much Does The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot Cost?
The Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot costs $860.95, which we think is incredibly impressive considering how long you can use this cot for along with the quality of the materials. We wouldn’t have been surprised if this cot was double the cost it currently is now, so make sure you snap it up before the price changes!
What Is The Warranty On The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot?
Boori offers an incredible five-year warranty with the Elton Convertible Plus cot, so you can rest assured that your investment is protected for the entire time you’re using it without the double bed conversion kit. This means you don’t have to worry about how late you find a manufacturer defect, as the warranty is so long.
Is The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot Safe?
Yes, the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot is incredibly safe thanks to plenty of intuitive features. The painted finish is all nursery-safe and low VOC, so you can rest assured that your baby isn’t exposed to too many chemicals while they’re sleeping. There are also two base heights to prevent babies from falling out of bed when they get old enough to pull themselves up, which is an excellent and underrated safety feature, in our opinion!
Is The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot Easy To Adjust?
It’s simple enough to adjust the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot from the highest to the lowest position, with the user manual walking you through the process in only five steps. We had the base adjusted within just ten minutes, but make sure you get someone to help with this as it can be quite fiddly! You’ll also need to bend into the crib quite a lot which can be uncomfortable, so a step stool might come in handy.
Is The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
No, the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot isn’t designed to be moved from its final spot too much, so it’s not very manoeuvrable at all. The cot weighs around 47 kg, so we recommend buying a separate portable crib for when you want a baby bed in any other room rather than the nursery.
Is The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot Easy To Assemble?
We found the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot’s assembly to be a little overwhelming, especially with the number of pieces we had to get out of the box! However, the instructions in the user manual are very helpful with both diagrams and written instructions, so they weren’t too difficult to follow when we got everything out in front of us.
Is The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot Easy To Clean?
The Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot takes a while to clean as there are so many edges and joins that bacteria can settle within, so you’ll need to take your time cleaning these to make sure you get everything out. Use warm water with a little soap to kill bacteria and go slow, taking your time to clean hard to reach areas with a soft-bristled brush.
Final Thoughts On The Boori Elton Convertible Plus Baby Cot
Overall, we really enjoyed testing out the Boori Elton Convertible Plus cot for ourselves. Some of our favourite features were the convertibility and how many ways we could use this cot, along with the baby-safe paint finish. We found cleaning the cot a little difficult with so many hard to reach areas, but this definitely wasn’t a deal breaker as long as we left enough time to deep clean it properly.
