What Are The Benefits Of The Boori Classic Cot?
- Many parents really liked how this cot could be converted into a toddler bed with lower sides that offered more stability without still looking like a baby crib
- This cot comes with excellent value for money when you consider that it can be used for five years!
What Are The Drawbacks Of The Boori Classic Cot?
- Some parents found that they had to keep cleaning the cot more frequently than they would’ve liked because of the bright white colouring
Are There Any Accessories Included With The Boori Classic Cot?
Unfortunately, the Boori Classic cot doesn’t come with any accessories, so you’ll need to buy these separately. This includes the mattress, so make sure you get the right size! The brand recommends the Boori Breathable Mattress, but as long as you choose one sized 132 x 70 cm, it will be safe to use with the Classic cot. You can also buy a Toddler Guard Panel from Boori if you want to use it when converting the cot to a toddler bed, although we’d have preferred this to have been included within the price.
What Sets The Boori Classic Cot Apart From The Crowd?
When we tested the Boori Classic cot out for ourselves, we found plenty of features that we thought other parents would love. Here are a couple of our favourites:
The unique toddler bed conversion
One thing we absolutely loved about the Boori Classic cot is how it could be converted to a toddler bed with one of the bar sides rotated to create a low side design for better stability and safety for young children. Most cots can be left with one side of bars on, but this can look strange when the rest of the cot looks like a bed! So, the lower design is perfect for offering both a smoother transition and a more aesthetically pleasing baby bed. You also have the option of adding a toddler safety rail onto your purchase which can offer better safety from all sides.
Value for money
Another thing we love about the Boori Classic cot is how much value for money it comes with! While you might not get any accessories with this crib, the fact that you can use it for over five years makes up for this. The base has been reinforced to hold the weight of children as well as toddlers and babies, so there’s no need for a toddler conversion kit either! The only thing you might want to consider buying is the safety rail, but this isn’t necessary if you don’t think your little one will likely roll out of bed! So, you can use the Boori Classic cot for at least five years for nothing more than your original investment!
How Much Does The Boori Classic Cot Cost?
The Boori Classic cot costs $699, making it suitable for most medium to higher budgets. While there are plenty of cheaper cots on the market, we think the cost of this crib is well worth it considering the functionality and the brand’s stellar reputation. It can also be used for over five years, so the value for money is quite impressive.
What Is The Warranty On The Boori Classic Cot?
Boori offers a five-year warranty on its Classic cot, which we think is a super generous warranty, and it also shows just how long the brand expects their furniture to last! This warranty should protect your investment for the entire time you’ll be using the cot, so you don’t have to worry about how late you notice a manufacturing defect – Boori should have you covered.
Is The Boori Classic Cot Safe?
Yes, the Boori Classic cot is perfectly safe and has undergone all of the necessary testing to make sure it’s suitable for use with children between the ages of zero and five. The soft rounded corners and panels are all designed to avoid sharp bumps on the head while rolling around in bed, and the optional safety rail can prevent tumbles in the middle of the night for toddlers. We also really like how the side panels can be rotated to create lower sides when in a toddler bed configuration, as this can also stop children from falling out of the other side when rolling around during a particularly active dream!
Is The Boori Classic Cot Easy To Adjust?
We found the Boori Classic cot very easy to adjust! There are two mattress base heights to choose from, one for newborns and a lower alternative for older toddlers who can pull up on their own. You can adjust the height within just a few minutes, so don’t worry about it being a bigger job than you bargained for – it’ll be over and done with in no time at all.
Is The Boori Classic Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
No, the Boori Classic cot isn’t the easiest to manoeuvre as it weighs 28 kg without the mattress! It’s also wider than most standard doorways, so you most likely won’t be able to move it from room to room like other, more compact alternatives. We’d recommend building it in the room you intend to keep it in, and asking someone to help you lift it into its final position after it’s all been built.
Is The Boori Classic Cot Easy To Assemble?
The Boori Classic cot is one of the easiest we’ve ever put together! The instructions in the user manual are incredibly simple and easy to follow thanks to the diagrams that are also captioned with detailed steps to follow, with us getting the entire cot up within just twenty minutes!
Is The Boori Classic Cot Easy To Clean?
Yes, the Boori Classic is easy enough to clean with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth to prevent damaging the paintwork. Make sure you get all of the crevices where bacteria likes to hide, including the gaps between joins and around the exposed hardware! However, we will say that the white colour will pick up the most stains, so you might have to clean it more than you were originally hoping for.
Final Thoughts On The Boori Classic Cot
Overall, we really enjoyed testing out the Boori Classic cot! Some of our favourite features were its value for money and the unique way in which it converted into a toddler bed. We found that the white colour required more frequent cleanings though, so it might not be best if you’re looking for a low maintenance crib.
