Are There Any Accessories Included With The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot?
Unfortunately, there aren’t any accessories that come with the BabyRest Beckett cot, so you’ll have to buy them all separately. While this cot does convert into a toddler bed when your little one is ready, it doesn’t come with the junior rail so you’ll need to add this to your order if you think you’ll need it. The cot also doesn’t come with a mattress or sheets, so make sure you get the right size! The recommended mattress size for the BabyRest Beckett is 130 x 69cm, which is thankfully a popular size so you’ll be able to find this anywhere.
What Sets The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot Apart From The Crowd?
There’s plenty to love about the BabyRest Beckett, and we’re sure you’ll be able to notice these features for yourselves. However, to tide you over until you get your new cot, here are a couple of our favourites:
Three-in-one functionality
One of our favourite features about the BabyRest Beckett is that you can use it in three ways, making the most of your investment and meaning you hopefully won’t have to buy another bed until your child is much older. The BabyRest Beckett comes with two mattress base heights, one for newborn use and the other for older toddlers, as well as a toddler bed conversion for when they’re ready for the transition! While you’ll need to buy the junior rail if you’re worried about your little one falling from their bed, we were really impressed that this cot could last a full five years without us having to buy another bed.
Peek-a-boo cutouts
Another thing we really like is the peek-a-boo cutouts in the BabyRest Beckett’s end pieces, which the brand says were a careful consideration to put some fun into bedtime. Not only are these great for getting your child used to and loving their new bed, but it’s also handy for parents who want to check on their little ones during the night. You should be able to get a glimpse of them sleeping no matter how the cot is positioned, allowing you to stay back without the risk of disturbing their slumber. We found this a great feature for nervous parents!
How Much Does The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot Cost?
The BabyRest Beckett costs $799, making it suitable for parents with mid-range budgets. While we wouldn’t consider it to be a budget-friendly cot, we think the price is well worth it considering the premium sustainably sourced Malaysian Oak it’s made from, along with the excellent safety standards it conforms to (AS/NZS: 2172/2003 + CPN No 6 of 2005).
What Is The Warranty On The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot?
The BabyRest Beckett comes with a three-year warranty, which we think is quite generous for a cot of this price and design. You should be covered throughout using all of its three capabilities, including the two mattress heights and the toddler bed, so you should be able to catch any manufacturer defects before your warranty expires. We love the peace of mind this offers, especially to new parents.
Is The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot Safe?
Yes, the BabyRest Beckett is a very safe cot that conforms to the Household Cots Safety Standard (AS/NZS: 2172/2003 + CPN No 6 of 2005), so you can rest assured that your little one will be safe and snug in their new bed. We love that the bars are all rounded to make it safer for little children who like to stick their hands and feet between the gaps, and that the gaps are all the ideal size to make sure nothing gets stuck between them. We also appreciate that the legs are rounded to prevent nosey crawlers from bumping into sharp corners.
Is The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot Easy To Adjust?
The BabyRest Beckett cot could not be easier to adjust thanks to the quick and simple instructions in the user manual. We had the mattress from its top position down to the bottom alternative within ten minutes, meaning we could use the cot for naps almost instantly. Both positions felt really sturdy and stable, so we were confident using them both for our little ones.
Is The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
No, we wouldn’t consider the BabyRest Beckett very easy to manoeuvre at all, as this isn’t what it’s designed for. With a weight of 33 kg, not including the mattress or bedding, this cot is designed to be kept in your nursery for the duration of its use. We even needed help simply moving it from one side of the nursery to the other!
Is The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot Easy To Assemble?
Yes, the BabyRest Beckett is incredibly easy to assemble thanks to the user manual that had both diagrams and written instructions to follow. There are quite a few pieces to put together and it’s very heavy to move, but as long as you have someone helping you, we didn’t find it too difficult to assemble. The hardest part of the entire process was picking it up to move it to where we wanted it in the nursery!
Is The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot Easy To Clean?
We found the BabyRest Beckett very easy to clean with a damp cloth every few weeks, as that’s all this cot needed to keep looking sparkling clean! The user instructions state that you can also use a gentle household cleaning solution when needed, which makes cleaning tough stains even easier, too.
Final Thoughts On The BabyRest Beckett Standard Cot
Overall, we were really pleased with the BabyRest Beckett when testing it out for ourselves. Some of our favourite features were the three-in-one functionality and how this could be used for more than five years, along with the peek-a-boo cutouts on both sides of the cot. We wish it was a little lighter so we could move it easier without enlisting the help of someone else, but we’d hardly call this a dealbreaker!
