Are There Any Accessories Included With The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot?
The Babyhood Kaylula Sova cot comes with a few accessories, which we were pleasantly surprised by as most cots don’t come with any at all! Most importantly, the Sova cot comes with its own Sova Cot Breathe Eze mattress, so you don’t have to worry about sourcing a uniquely shaped mattress all on your own. This cot also comes with four durable castor wheels which make moving the pram around a breeze, and everything you need to keep converting this frame into new visions.
What Sets The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot Apart From The Crowd?
When testing the Babyhood Kaylula Sova cot out for ourselves, we found plenty of standout features! We’ve listed a few of our favourites below:
Rounded shape
One of our favourite features of the Babyhood Kaylula Sova cot is the rounded shape which has quickly become somewhat of a revolution in the crib market. It’s said to mimic the shape and feel of a womb, making babies more likely to fall asleep happily because of the comfort the tighter shape and design offers them. We also think it looks beautiful in any nursery, which is always a plus!
Included mattress
We’ve tested out plenty of cots in our lifetime, and very few of them come equipped with an included mattress. As the Babyhood Kaylula Sova cot comes with a super soft and comfortable one for no extra cost, this has to be one of our favourite features! Not only does this save you money, but you also don’t have to worry about spending ages online trying to find an oval mattress of the correct dimensions.
Award-winning versatility
The Sova cot has won awards for how versatile it is, but we don’t even think you’re ready for how many configurations we’re about to walk you through! The Sova cot evolves from a tiny bassinet to a larger cot with side panels, which can be removed to create a toddler bed. Once you’re finished with the toddler bed you can convert it into a playpen, and then a fully functioning set of adult tables and chairs! And, if that wasn’t enough, the mattress splits into three sections to make it as versatile as possible for use with every configuration. The Sova cot truly is an ingenious design.
How Much Does The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot Cost?
The Babyhood Kaylula Sova costs $1,649, making it one of the more expensive cots we’ve encountered on the market. However, while this certainly won’t be suitable for everyone’s budgets, we think the award-winning design and how much versatility it comes with make up for the higher price. You’ll be able to use this cot forever, so the investment may very well pay off in the future!
What Is The Warranty On The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot?
Sadly, like all of Babyhood’s cots, the Sova crib comes with a one-year warranty. We think this is an incredibly short period of time to be able to check for manufacturing defects, especially when one of the main selling points is that the cot can be used well into adulthood! Along with this, we also think the higher cost of the Sova cot deserves a longer warranty to protect your purchase.
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot Safe?
The Sova cot is incredibly safe. It has even been tested to the toughest Australian Standards by Furntech, which is well known for being one of the best independent testing facilities in the country. The cot has also been protected with a lacquer made from non-toxic chemicals and low VOCs, making it perfectly safe for use around babies and young children.
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot Easy To Adjust?
The Sova cot is simple enough to adjust, although the rounded shape was throwing us off slightly when converting it to its different shapes. The adult table and chairs were definitely the biggest and most difficult adjustments, but we were still able to get them sorted within just twenty minutes. While the Sova certainly isn’t the easiest cot to adjust, it’s definitely not the most difficult one we’ve tried, either!
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
The Babyhood Kaylula Sova cot is super easy to move thanks to the four robust castors and the compact size. The width of the Sova cot is only 76 cm while the average internal door width for Australian homes is 82 cm, so you should be able to wheel your little one around your home with you without any issues. However, we would recommend checking the internal width of your doorways to make sure they’re large enough to accommodate the Sova cot if this is something you’re hoping to use it for, just to be on the safe side.
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot Easy To Assemble?
The Babyhood Kaylula Sova cot was easy enough to put together once we took a moment to check the instructions and make sure we were happy with the plan. The user manual was quite overwhelming to begin with, as there were so many pages, but this is only because of all the different configurations you can use the cot in. We found a video tutorial on how to put the Sova cot together if you need some help or prefer learning in a more visual way.
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot Easy To Clean?
The Babyhood Kaylula Sova cot, unfortunately, wasn’t the easiest to clean. We found the clear panels needed cleaning multiple times a week to prevent them from looking smudged and cloudy all the time, and it was quite difficult to get them streak-free with cleaning products or water. However, we will say that we appreciated the rounded shape when cleaning so we didn’t need to battle with any hard-to-reach areas.
Final Thoughts On The Babyhood Kaylula Sova Cot
Overall, we found the Sova cot to be an amazing experience when we tested it out! We really liked the round shape and award-winning versatility that the pram offered, not to mention how it actually came with a mattress that we didn’t have to buy separately! However, we were quite disappointed in the warranty considering how much this cot is, so bear this in mind when making your decision on whether this is the best cot for you or not.
