What Are The Drawbacks Of The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot?
- Some parents found the acrylic panels difficult to clean and had to keep wiping fingerprints away multiple times a week
Are There Any Accessories Included With The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot?
Unfortunately, the Babyhood Kaylula Bella cot doesn’t come with many accessories at all. All you really get is the cot itself and the toddler bed conversion kit, which is a really helpful accessory for when you feel like your little one is ready to take the jump into toddlerhood. However, you’ll have to buy everything else yourself, including a mattress. The recommended mattress size for this cot is 129.5 x 69 cm, with a thickness of around 10 cm.
What Sets The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot Apart From The Crowd?
There’s plenty to love about the Babyhood Kaylula Bella cot, so here are some of our favourite features that we think you’ll really appreciate:
Sustainability
The Bella cot is made from solid European Beechwood that has been grown sustainably in plantations, so Babyhood can make each and every one of its cribs without depleting the natural ecosystems. This can help the environment and hopefully contribute to the global efforts to protect the earth, creating a safer and healthier environment for our little ones to grow up in.
Clear acrylic panels
Of course, we couldn’t mention our favourite things without talking about the clear panels lining the entire Bella cot! These are highly durable and perfect for checking in on your baby when they’re sleeping, no matter where the cot is positioned in their nursery. Some parents have also found that their children have responded better to their cots knowing that they can see their loved ones through the acrylic instead of having wooden beams in the way, so it might help them feel more secure in their cribs. Who knows, this might even lead to a better night’s sleep for everyone!
Grows with your toddler
Another thing we love about the Bella cot is how it can gently transition your little one from a cot to a toddler bed. There are two mattress heights to choose from along with a bonus toddler rail to prevent accidental tumbles when they’re first getting used to the lack of sides.
How Much Does The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot Cost?
The Babyhood Kaylula Bella cot costs $1,499, making it best suited to parents with higher budgets. While this price might not be accessible to everyone, we think the crib’s functionality more than makes up for the price, so if you have the money to spare, we doubt you’ll regret such a worthwhile investment!
What Is The Warranty On The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot?
The Bella cot comes with a one-year warranty, which we were quite disappointed with considering its cost and longevity of use. This cot can hold up to 100 kg of static weight, so it can be used for much longer than five years if your little one wants to. This means that the current warranty only covers a fraction of its usage time, which we think is a major issue considering its high price point.
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot Safe?
Yes, the Babyhood Kaylula is very safe! Not only has it been tested in one of the most well-respected test facilities in the world, but it also boasts plenty of amazing features to put your mind at ease that your little one is safe throughout every single sleep. The acrylic and wooden structure is both robust and reliable, and the drop-side design is even ergonomically safer for parents, too! Babyhood takes safety incredibly seriously in all of their cots, and that’s one of the reasons we respect them so much.
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot Easy To Adjust?
The Babyhood Kaylula Bella cot is incredibly easy to adjust, especially when lowering the mattress height! We were able to adjust the Bella cot within just a few minutes, making the transition from high to low position as simple as possible. The drop-side made this even easier on us as we didn’t need to lean as far into the cot to adjust the base, which was a nice surprise!
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot Easy To Manoeuvre?
No, the Bella cot isn’t the best for manoeuvring as it doesn’t come with castors or any other way to move it easily from one place to another. We will say that while we were assembling the cot we found the wooden pieces really sturdy and we were able to drag the cot from one side of our nursery to the other on our own without feeling like it was able to break. However, to protect the cot as much as possible, we would still recommend asking someone to help you pick the cot up to move it instead.
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot Easy To Assemble?
The Babyhood Kaylula Bella cot was simple enough to assemble, although we found that most of the pieces were quite heavy, so we needed someone else to hold everything as we put it together. The acrylic pieces felt really sturdy so we didn’t have to worry about breaking them, and the instructions in the user manual were easy to follow with clear diagrams and steps outlined. Our advice would just to get someone to help you to pass the time quicker!
Is The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot Easy To Clean?
The Babyhood Kaylula Bella cot wasn’t the easiest to clean in our opinion, as the clear panels were quite difficult to keep smudge-free. And, once we cleaned the bars and thought the hard part was over, we realised that the end panels were also clear, so they took ages to clean as well! While we love the design of this cot, we found that we were having to clean it multiple times a week to make sure it looked nice and well presented as much as possible.
Final Thoughts On The Babyhood Kaylula Bella Cot
Overall, we really liked our time testing out the Babyhood Kaylula Bella cot, with some of our favourite features being the clear acrylic sides, the versatility and how the cot can grow with our little ones, and how sustainable the brand is. We found cleaning the acrylic panels to be quite a chore, but this was hardly a deal breaker when we got to see our babies through the panels so much!
